A senior executive with over 25 years of experience in treasury, capital markets, finance, and risk management — with tenures at major companies including Embraer, Rumo, and Origo Energia — Rogério steps into the role with a clear mandate: to strengthen the company’s ability to scale growth with discipline, improve financial management efficiency, and support consistent cash generation throughout the cycle.
As the new CFO, he will also reinforce QMC Telecom’s local presence in Brazil — the company’s primary market — amid a challenging macroeconomic environment for capital-intensive infrastructure assets, shaped by elevated interest rates.
💬 “I am truly excited about this new challenge and very glad to be joining such a high-performance team. I am joining QMC with the mission of supporting the company’s next growth phase, in a more challenging environment for the Neutral Host sector and for capital-intensive industries marked by high interest rates. QMC has a differentiated positioning in this context, with a consistent track record of disciplined growth and execution. Our focus will be to ensure that this expansion continues to be carried out with efficiency and long-term value creation.” — Rogerio Marchini Santos, CFO.
Rafael A. Somoza, CEO of QMC Telecom International, adds:
💬 “Even in a more challenging environment, QMC continues to grow sustainably, with discipline and cash generation. Last year, we delivered yet another record growth period, maintaining rigor in project selection and avoiding investments with inadequate returns. Our capital and technical expertise remain fundamental to supporting our clients in the most demanding projects and in the expansion of their 5G networks, with consistency and agility in execution. Rogério’s arrival strengthens our ability to scale this model, supporting our clients’ growth, enabling connectivity, and responding ever more effectively to their needs.”
Throughout his career, Rogério has held several senior management positions in treasury and finance: he served as CFO at Embraer (2000–2013), Director of Treasury and Financial Risk at Rumo (2015–2017), and CFO at both Origo Energia and Sigma Lithium (2017–2025). He holds a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Universidade Paulista (1999) and an MBA in Finance from Fundação Getulio Vargas (2005).
We also take this opportunity to thank Ricardo Zubieta, our former CFO, for his dedication and contributions throughout his time at QMC Telecom. We wish him every success in his next endeavors.
